| Gene Description | KLB, klotho beta, is a transmembrane protein that interacts with fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR's) to promote high affinity Fgf binding and therefore, regulates cell metabolism and growth (PMID: 18772362, PMID: 20657013). Overexpression of KLB has been identified in bladder cancer (PMID: 27573985), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 22439738, PMID: 30698907), and phosphaturic mesenchymal tumors (PMID: 31792355). | ||||||||||
