| Gene Description | NQO1, NAD(P)H quinone dehydrogenase 1, encodes a flavoprotein that plays a role in the catalyzation and detoxification of quinones to hydroquinones via a two electron reduction (PMID: 11309386, PMID: 29712428). Overexpression of NQO1 has been observed in a variety of cancers including lung, uterine, and pancreas (PMID: 25885439) and NQO1 variants have been associated with increased cancer risk (PMID: 31431515). | ||||||||||
