| Gene Description | AFP, alpha-fetoprotein, is a glycoprotein that transports metal ions, drugs, bilirubin, and steroids and is highly expressed during fetal development (PMID: 29805966). AFP overexpression in serum may be a prognostic marker for hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 30183583, PMID: 30009939), urothelial cancer (PMID: 30208947), and uterine carcinosarcoma (PMID: 29992073). | ||||||||||
