| Gene Description | DNM2, dynamin 2, encodes for a member of the GTPase family that mediates fission of endocytic vesicles from the plasma membrane upon GTP hydrolysis (PMID: 10601359, PMID: 15731758, PMID: 9398675), thereby playing a role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis (PMID: 29661000) and membrane trafficking (PMID: 29437695), and is involved in actin assembly and actin filament organization (PMID: 12419186). DNM2 mutations have been identified in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 22237106, PMID: 27698851), and overexpression of DNM2 has been observed in several tumor types (PMID: 34294140), including prostate cancer (PMID: 24402972), bladder cancer (PMID: 31289491), and papillary thyroid cancer (PMID: 32827429). | ||||||||||
