| Gene Description | APLNR, apelin receptor, is a G-protein coupled receptor that plays a role in a variety of physiological processes related to maintaining homeostasis including angiogenesis, cardiovascular function, fluid homeostasis, and metabolism (PMID: 23943882), and may play an essential role in response to immunotherapies (PMID: 28783722). Loss of function APLNR mutations, which are associated with reduced T-cell function, have been identified in lung cancer and melanoma (PMID: 28783722), and altered expression has been reported in renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 30783205). | ||||||||||
