| Gene Description | ELAVL1, ELAV-like RNA binding protein 1, encodes a protein that binds to the 3' untranslated region of RNA to regulate processing, splicing, and stability of RNAs and control expression of target genes related to cell proliferation, differentiation, inflammation, and survival (PMID: 14517288, PMID: 21723170, PMID: 22201738). Overexpression of Elavl1has been associated with increased malignancy (PMID: 21935886) in a number of cancers including bladder (PMID: 23516604), breast (PMID: 15781626), and colon (PMID: 16799479), and a ELAVL1-TYK2 fusion has been identified in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 27189703). | ||||||||||
