| Gene Description | ERCC1, ERCC excision repair 1, endonuclease non-catalytic subunit, forms part of an endonuclease complex with XPF that functions in the nucleotide excision repair pathway for DNA repair (PMID: 26074087, PMID: 32099408). ERCC1 expression level has been correlated with response to platinum-based therapies in various tumor types, including ovarian, non-small cell lung, and head and neck cancers (PMID: 26804248, PMID: 26179868, PMID: 26870207), while ERCC1 polymorphisms may confer cisplatin resistance in ovarian cancer (PMID: 32173978). | ||||||||||
