| Gene Description | ERG, ETS transcription factor ERG, encodes for a transcription factor that is a member of the ETS family and plays a role in developmental processes, apoptosis, cell proliferation, angiogenesis and differentiation in endothelial and hematopoietic cells (PMID: 22279422). Fusions of TMPRSS2-ERG are common in prostate cancer (PMID: 22279422, PMID: 28849022) and an ELF4-ERG has been identified in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 16303180). | ||||||||||
