| Gene Description | AKT2, AKT serine/threonine kinase 2, regulates a number of cell functions, including proliferation, survival, growth, angiogenesis, and metabolism through PI3K signaling (PMID: 28557977). Amplification and/or overexpression of Akt2 has been identified in a variety of solid tumor types (PMID: 7657393, PMID: 29199386, PMID: 29374601, PMID: 31752925) and is downregulated by several micro-RNAs to inhibit cell migration and invasion (PMID: 28586057, PMID: 28548936, PMID: 28534950). | ||||||||||
