Gene Description MECOM, MDS1 and EVI1 complex locus, is a zinc finger transcription factor (PMID: 29666008) that regulates haematopoietic cell differentiation (PMID: 26729571). MECOM gene dysregulation is commonly found in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 26729571) and MECOM rearrangements have been associated with poor prognosis in myeloproliferative disorders and myeloid leukemias (PMID: 29920189, PMID: 9044825, PMID: 28182364, PMID: 31554743, PMID: 31109591, PMID: 32219447).
