| Gene Description | FGF2, fibroblast growth factor 2, encodes for a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family and paracrine FGF subfamily (PMID: 32161315), and plays a role in cellular development via activation of signal transduction pathways through binding to FGF receptors (PMID: 16216232). Elevated expression of FGF2 has been associated with several types of cancer (PMID: 27007053), including ductal carcinoma in situ (PMID: 32050925) and gastric cancer (PMID: 31789423). | ||||||||||
