| Gene Description | DKK1, dickkopf WNT signaling pathway inhibitor 1, is a glycoprotein that acts to inhibit canonical Wnt signaling, and may play a role in cellular differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis (PMID: 12775774, PMID: 16763196, PMID: 17143291). Increased expression of Dkk1 is associated with metastasis in hilar cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 27608843), and both low and high levels of Dkk1 expression have been demonstrated in various tumor types, including lung cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma, respectively (PMID: 28979801). | ||||||||||
