| Gene Description | NFASC, neurofascin, is a a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of adhesion molecules (PMID: 28418179) and plays a role in neurite out-growth, synaptogenesis, and axonal guidance (PMID: 22306302). A NFASC-NTRK1 fusion has been identified in glioblastoma multiforme (PMID: 24647444) and amplification and overexpression of Nfasc has been observed in lung cancer (PMID: 28418179). | ||||||||||
