| Gene Description | LARP4B, La ribonucleoprotein 4B, encodes a member of the La-related protein (LARP) family of RNA binding proteins, and plays a role in promoting translation by binding to the 3' UTRs of mRNA targets, and interacting with Pabpc1 and Rack1 (PMID: 26001795, PMID: 20573744), and promotes inhibition of cell growth (PMID: 26933087). LARP4B overexpression has been identified in liver cancer (PMID: 31772683) while decreased expression has been observed in glioma (PMID: 26933087) and KMT2A (MLL)-rearranged acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 25534202). | ||||||||||
