| Gene Description | JMJD6, jumonji domain containing 6, arginine demethylase and lysine hydroxylase, encodes a nuclear protein with a JmjC domain and has bifunctional histone arginine demethylation and lysyl oxidase activity (PMID: 17947579; PMID: 19574390) and plays a role in inflammation and the immune response (PMID: 31637004). Overexpression of JMJD6 is associated with various cancer types (PMID: 22621393; PMID: 23595221; PMID: 24667498), including breast, hepatocellular carcinoma, oral squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 31788057), ovarian cancer (PMID: 31637004), and neuroblastoma (PMID: 31346162). | ||||||||||
