| Gene Description | FOLH1, folate hydrolase 1, encodes prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), which is a type II transmembrane protein that acts as a glutamate carboxypeptidase resulting in folate hydrolase activity as well as NAALADase activity (PMID: 9816319, PMID: 8570628). Overexpression of FOLH1 (PSMA) has been observed in prostate cancer (PMID: 16985927), lung cancer (PMID: 25978404), and metastatic breast cancer (PMID: 29426963). | ||||||||||
