| Gene Description | B4GALNT1, beta-1,4-N-acetyl-galactosaminyl transferase 1, is a glycosyltransferase essential for the synthesis of complex gangliosides, which are potential tumor-associated antigens (PMID: 27102283). Overexpression of B4galnt1 has been observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma patients (PMID: 31491435) and overexpression of B4galnt1 in melanoma cells induces angiogenesis and cell growth (PMID: 31988291). | ||||||||||
