| Gene Description | LATS2, large tumor suppressor kinase 2, is a serine/threonine-protein kinase that negatively regulates YAP1 in the Hippo signaling pathway, which plays a role in organ size control and tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis (PMID: 24026096). LATS2 may play a role as a tumor suppressor in human cancer (PMID: 24026096, PMID: 28644436) and decreased expression has been associated with poor prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 31820862). | ||||||||||
