| Gene Description | GLI2, GLI family zinc finger 2, is a transcription factor acting in the Sonic Hedgehog signaling pathway of developmental regulation and is also induced by TGF-beta independently of hedgehog (PMID: 21862631). Crosstalk from hedgehog and TGF-beta may create a cycle that amplifies GLI2-dependent metastasis (PMID: 21862631) and a FHL2-GLI2 fusion has been reported in sclerosing stromal tumors of the ovary (PMID: 31896750). | ||||||||||
