| Gene Description | GTF2I, general transcription factor IIi, is a transcription factor involved in cell cycle regulation in response to diverse signaling pathways (PMID: 17976384). Mutations of GTF2I have been identified in multiple cancers (PMID: 25284716, PMID: 24974848), including thymic epithelial tumors (PMID: 32034314), and a GTF2I-BRAF fusion has been identified in melanoma (PMID: 26314551) and pilocytic astrocytoma (PMID: 28448514), while GTF2I fusions with PDGFRB (PMID: 31161074) and NCOA2 (PMID: 28639284) have also been reported in other tumor types. | ||||||||||
