| Gene Description | GUCY2C, guanylate cyclase 2C, is a heat-stable enterotoxin receptor that binds guanylin and uroguanylin and is expressed in the intestinal epithelium (PMID: 28162021, PMID: 29210639). Aberrant expression of Gucy2c has been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 28162021), where it may function as an intestinal tumor suppressor (PMID: 29210639). | ||||||||||
