| Gene Description | A1CF, APOBEC1 complementation factor, is an RNA binding protein and part of a complex which edits the mRNA of apolipoprotein B (PMID: 11871661, PMID: 31881249). Deletion of an eight amino acid motif in the nuclear localization domain of A1cf has been demonstrated to promote breast cancer proliferation in culture (PMID: 27231908), decreased expression of A1cf increased apoptosis of breast cancer cells in culture (PMID: 28639893), and in Wilms tumor cell models, overexpression of A1cf decreased apoptosis (PMID: 30825095). | ||||||||||
