| Gene Description | HDAC2, histone deacetylase 2, is a member of the class I HDAC family that functions in deacetylation of histone and non-histone proteins to regulate various cell cycle and developmental processes via transcriptional repression of target genes (PMID: 25072962, PMID: 30096875). HDAC2 is overexpressed in variety of cancers in which Tp53 is a critical regulatory target during tumorigenesis (PMID: 25072962). | ||||||||||
