| Gene Description | HSF4, heat shock transcription factor 4, is a heat shock transcription factor family member that lacks the suppression of trimerization domain, allowing it to trimerize and bind to DNA in the absence of cellular stress (PMID: 10488131) and also regulates tissue-specific activation and repression of heat shock genes and has a role in lens cell differentiation (PMID: 10488131, PMID: 22528049). Overexpression of Hsf4 has been associated with decreased survival in colorectal cancer (PMID: 29131521). | ||||||||||
