Gene Description BIRC3, baculoviral IAP repeat containing 3, is a member of the inhibitors of apoptotic protein (IAP) family that regulates apoptosis and other cellular processes through ubiquitination of targeting proteins (PMID: 23790005). BIRC3 mutations are frequently identified in hematological cancers (PMID: 17692804, PMID: 21881048, PMID: 24145436), including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (PMID: 31371416).
