| Gene Description | ID1, inhibitor of DNA binding 1, HLH protein, is a helix-loop-helix protein (HLH) transcription factor family member that lacks a DNA binding domain, which binds to other HLH family members and prevents their DNA binding activity (PMID: 25248477, PMID: 16034366). Overexpression of Id1 has been associated with several tumor types (PMID: 12842081), including breast, prostate, gastric, lung, and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 31440083) and altered expression of Id1 has been observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 31582374). | ||||||||||
