| Gene Description | IGF2, insulin like growth factor 2, encodes for a growth factor involved in cell growth and differentiation processes that occur during embyronic development and adult life (PMID: 18308616). Overexpression of IGF2 has been linked to mesenchymal tumors and hepatocellular carcinoma and may be associated with worse prognosis in breast cancer, esophageal cancer, chronic myeloid leukemia (PMID: 24080445), colorectal cancer (PMID: 31623387), and adrenocortical carcinoma (PMID: 31378849). | ||||||||||
