| Gene Description | IGFBP5, insulin like growth factor binding protein 5, is a member of the insulin-like growth factor-binding protein superfamily that binds to Igf1 and interferes with Igf signaling, affecting cell growth, survival, and motility (PMID: 10605625, PMID: 22313597). IGFBP5 expression has been identified in breast, ovarian, pituitary, cervical cancer and glioblastoma (PMID: 22313597) and an IGFBP5-ALK fusion has been observed in leiomyosarcoma (PMID: 30518629) and inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (PMID: 28490045). | ||||||||||
