| Gene Description | IDO1, indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1, is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of tryptophan to kynurenine, and plays an important role in the inflammatory response (PMID: 29413421, PMID: 26378585). IDO1 promoter hypomethylation is associated with reduced survival in patients with esophageal cancer (PMID: 31012515), and expression of IDO1 has been demonstrated in various solid tumors, including endometrial, cervical, and non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 25271151). | ||||||||||
