Gene Description KIR2DL1, killer cell immunoglobulin like receptor, two Ig domains and long cytoplasmic tail 1, encodes for a transmembrane glycoprotein present on the surface of natural killer cells thereby preventing activation of NK cells (PMID: 18574028). KIR2DL1 expression has been suggested to participate in immune resistance of cancer cells (PMID: 24592397).
