| Gene Description | NUGGC (also referred to as SLIP-GC), nuclear GTPase, germinal center associated, is expressed in germinal center B cells and is a negative regulator of activation-induced deaminase (AID) activity, thereby playing a role in the protection of DNA replication via preventing AID activity-mediated deamination of cytosines (PMID: 19734146, PMID: 22833677). Decreased expression of NUGGC has been associated with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 27082702) and a BCOR-NUGGC fusion has been reported in endometrial stromal sarcoma (PMID: 32156473). | ||||||||||
