| Gene Description | L1CAM, L1 cell adhesion molecule, is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF) of molecules that plays a role in cell adhesion and cytoskeleton formation through interactions with other IgSF family members (PMID: 9396761, PMID: 26909348) and interacts with tyrosine kinase receptors to modulate downstream signaling (PMID: 22815787). L1CAM overexpression is associated with poor prognosis in several tumor types (PMID: 27833079), including endometrial cancer (PMID: 23781004, PMID: 25126672, PMID: 36399812), and gastric cancer (PMID: 23806079, PMID: 24422715). | ||||||||||
