| Gene Description | LAG3, lymphocyte activating 3, is expressed on activated T-cells and NK cells and binds MHC class II molecules to inhibit the immune response (PMID: 28258692). LAG3 inhibition in cancer therapy may relieve suppression of the anti-tumor immune response (PMID: 29900067, PMID: 29439955) and overexpression has been observed in salivary gland carcinoma (PMID: 32232506), while LAG3 methylation correlates with expression in renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 32234847). | ||||||||||
