| Gene Description | LAMP1, lysosomal associated membrane protein 1, encodes for a type-1 transmembrane protein, which makes up a large portion of the lysosomal membrane and plays a role in preventing lysosomal membrane degradation (PMID: 12628346). Overexpression of LAMP1 has been observed in glioblastoma (PMID: 23826410), laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 27788920), breast cancer (PMID: 29085473), and ovarian cancer (PMID: 31966783). | ||||||||||
