Gene Description MAF, MAF bZIP transcription factor, is a large MAF transcription factor (PMID: 18159220) that plays a role in lens development (PMID: 14991699, PMID: 10097114, PMID: 10383433), chondrocyte differentiation (PMID: 14512017, PMID: 26069566), and in T-cell development and homeostasis (PMID: 32117317, PMID: 28496444). IGH-MAF fusions are associated with adverse prognosis in multiple myeloma (PMID: 35560063, PMID: 35534749, PMID: 27002115).
