| Gene Description | MEF2D, myocyte enhancer factor 2D, is a member of the MEF2 (Myocyte Enhancer Factor-2) family of transcription factors, which may activate or repress gene transcription, depending on interaction with co-activators or co-repressors (PMID: 29879430). Fusions of Mef2d have been identified in pediatric precursor B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and correlated with worse clinical outcomes (PMID: 30171027) and Mefd2 overexpression has been observed in cisplatin-resistant ovarian carcinoma (PMID: 31218100). | ||||||||||
