| Gene Description | NKX3-1, NK3 homeobox 1, encodes a transcription factor that acts as a tumor suppressor by suppressing cell growth and differentiation in the prostate epithelium, thereby regulating prostate growth (PMID: 8943214, PMID: 20588175, PMID: 11085535). Decreased expression and loss of NXK3-1 have been associated with prostate cancer (PMID: 11085535, PMID: 18557759) and NKX3-1 expression may also be a marker for EWSR1-NFATC2 sarcoma and mesenchymal chondrosarcoma (PMID: 31972596). | ||||||||||
