| Gene Description | PAWR, pro-apoptotic WT1 regulator, encodes a tumor suppressor that regulates WT1-mediated transcriptional activation and repression (PMID: 8943350), and plays a role in the induction of apoptosis, autophagy, and cellular senescence (PMID: 33414404, PMID: 22552839), mediating the epithelial to mesenchymal transition via targeting TGF-beta (PMID: 24503536), and the regulation of neuronal cell death (PMID: 10514095, PMID: 10349840, PMID: 10783145). Decreased PAWR expression has been observed in endometrial carcinoma (PMID: 17332319), and a fusion with FGFR2 and PAWR has been identified in cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 33218975, PMID: 31392046), salivary duct carcinoma (PMID: 31609094), and pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PMID: 34250383). | ||||||||||
