| Gene Description | ANGPTL4, angiopoietin like 4, is a secreted protein and a member of the angiopoietin family, which inhibits lipoprotein lipase and regulates lipid metabolism and potentially, glucose homeostasis (PMID: 28182091, PMID: 22458843). Overexpression of Angptl4 has been demonstrated in many epithelial tumors, including adenoma, melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 21397862), and increased transcript levels in stage 2 osteosarcoma (PMID: 29739381), and colorectal cancer (PMID: 21937683). | ||||||||||
