| Gene Description | RSF1, remodeling and spacing factor 1, encodes a histone binding protein that contributes to several cellular processes including nucleosome assembly and chromatin remodeling, DNA replication and segregation via interaction with Cenpa (PMID: 20923775), negative regulation of NFkappaB (PMID: 15242768), and cell division, serving as a key centromeric protein (PMID: 26259146). RSF1 overexpression has been identified in several tumor types including cervical cancer (PMID: 29480799), colon cancer (PMID: 22528946), nasopharyngeal cancer (PMID: 28261335), and non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 22387541), and both overexpression and amplification of RSF1 have been observed in ovarian cancer (PMID: 20923775). | ||||||||||
