Gene Description PIM1, Pim-1 proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase, is a member of the constitutively active PIM kinase family and involved in the regulation of B lymphocytes (PMID: 23495171). Amplification and/or overexpression of PIM1 has been linked to tumorigenesis in solid tumor and hematological malignancies (PMID: 21993851), including HPV-positive head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 31958486), EBV-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PMID: 31403034), and PIM1 mutations have been reported in primary cardiac diffuse large B cell lymphoma (PMID: 31806993).
