| Gene Description | CEP55, centrosomal protein 55, encodes a coiled-coil protein important for cell abscission during cytokinesis, and is associated with regulation of several cellular processes, including signal transduction, proliferation, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, migration, and metastasis (PMID: 16198290, PMID: 30607788, PMID: 32646645). Overexpression of CEP55 has been associated with several cancer types (PMID: 25915844, PMID: 32646645), including cervical (PMID: 29805659), lung (PMID: 30154666), esophageal (PMID: 30050313), renal (PMID: 30607788), and liver (PMID: 32337246) cancers. | ||||||||||
