| Gene Description | MRTFB, myocardin related transcription factor B, is a transcriptional cofactor that associates with Serum Response Factor (SRF) to synergistically activate transcription of target genes (PMID: 12397177), plays a role in cell cycle progression (PMID: 23656782), and is essential for skeletal muscle development (PMID: 27385017), smooth muscle differentiation, and cardiovascular development (PMID: 15951419). A fusion with RREB1 and MRTFB has been identified in ectomesenchymal chondromyxoid tumour (PMID: 31991003). | ||||||||||
