| Gene Description | MRTFA, myocardin related transcription factor A, acts as a transcriptional co-activator for SRF (PMID: 12397177) in regulation of genes involved in various cellular activities, including differentiation and migration (PMID: 33722605, PMID: 20816842), and plays a role in differentiation of smooth muscle (PMID: 14970199) and megakaryocyte maturation (PMID: 22806889, PMID: 33722605). A fusion between MRTFA and RBM15 is associated with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (PMID: 11431691, PMID: 28112737, PMID: 27114462), and increased MRTFA expression has been demonstrated in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PMID: 31363007). | ||||||||||
