| Gene Description | PTPN2, protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 2, dephosphorylates protein substrates to regulate signaling of several cellular pathways involved in growth, differentiation, and development (PMID: 36077422, PMID: 12138178, PMID: 11909529, PMID: 14966296), and plays a key role in T-cell differentiation and development (PMID: 36077422, PMID: 22080863), cytokine signaling, and inflammation (PMID: 28804910, PMID: 29444435). Dysregulation of PTPN2 expression has been observed in different tumor types, including high expression in thyroid cancer (PMID: 31735335) and laryngocarcinoma (PMID: 32373968) while decreased PTPN2 expression has been observed in breast cancer (PMID: 30515568). | ||||||||||
