| Gene Description | RPS6KA1, ribosomal protein S6 kinase A1, is a serine/threonine kinase in the Mapk pathway (PMID: 9430688, PMID: 10074458) involved in regulation of nitric oxide function (PMID: 16984226), cell survival and proliferation via phosphorylation of various substrates (PMID: 16822942, PMID: 18451027, PMID: 9528769), and cell cycle progression (PMID: 14504289). Upregulation of various isoforms of the ribosomal S6 kinase family, including RPS6KA1, have been identified in several tumor types such as lung, breast, prostate, ovarian, and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 20045011, PMID: 26791782). | ||||||||||
