| Gene Description | SMYD3, SET and MYND domain containing 3, is a histone methyltransferase which regulates transcription through chromatin modification and as part of the RNA polymerase complex and therefore, plays a role in epigenetic gene regulation (PMID: 15235609; PMID: 28019723, PMID: 31935919). Overexpression of Smyd3 has been linked to several types of cancer including breast, colorectal, liver, and pancreatic (PMID: 25382779; PMID: 28639750; PMID: 28123630, PMID: 31441002). | ||||||||||
