| Gene Description | CRTC3, CREB regulated transcription coactivator 3, encodes for a member of the CRTC family, which plays a role in the metabolic stress response via PKA or AMPK and is associated with the activation of Pgc-1alpha, a protein involved in mitochondrial biogenesis (PMID: 21536665). A CRTC3-MAML2 fusion has been observed in mucoepidermoid carcinoma (PMID: 23035786) and cutaneous hidradenoma (PMID: 27402217). | ||||||||||
