| Gene Description | SLCO2A1, solute carrier organic anion transporter family member 2A1, encodes a plasma membrane transporter that mediates the transport of several prostaglandins including prostaglandin E2 and prostaglandin H2 thereby playing a role in autocrine and paracrine signaling and multiple physiological processes (PMID: 25433165, PMID: 20346915, PMID: 25505603). Decreased expression of SLCO2A1 has been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 19138942) and an SLCO2A1-ALK fusion has been identified in non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 32903930). | ||||||||||
