| Gene Description | SSBP1, single stranded DNA binding protein 1, is a mitochondrial DNA binding protein that plays a role in mitochondrial DNA replication and repair (PMID: 26676758, PMID: 28486639). Overexpression of Ssbp1 has been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 31819642), while decreased Ssbp1 expression has been identified in several tumor types including breast carcinoma, glioblastoma, and renal carcinoma (PMID: 26676758). | ||||||||||
